Temporary Eligibility Intake Specialist

Help individuals and families take an important step toward housing stability. We’re seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Eligibility Intake Specialist to guide applicants through the rental assistance screening process and help ensure they have a respectful, supportive experience.

Temporary Eligibility Intake Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $19.67 to $25.61 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday )

• Bilingual differential: Additional $2.00 per hour for qualified Spanish–English bilingual candidates
• Interview and screen individuals and families applying for rental assistance.
• Explain program requirements and help applicants understand the next steps.
• Support participants in person and over the phone with patience and professionalism.
• Create and maintain complete, accurate participant files.
• Enter information promptly into internal and grant-funded databases while following program procedures and protecting confidential information.

Temporary Eligibility Intake Specialist Qualifications:

• Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully with people from a wide range of backgrounds and life circumstances.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based record systems.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets position requirements.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
