These positions may be located in one of the following locations: Fresno, Glendale, Pleasanton, Redding, Riverside, Rohnert Park, or Vacaville.

This is a 24-month limited term position which may be extended, cancelled, or made permanent at any time.

If becoming permanent, the selected candidate must be eligible for a permanent appointment at the time of the LT appointment or at the time of the conversion.

The Claims Processing Center has immediate openings for multiple Billing Research Specialists at the Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster level to work in Bill Review. This is a unique opportunity for self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills with interest in optimizing medical billing accuracy and compliance. Additionally, the positions will be limited-term appointments for up to 24 months and may become permanent with management approval.

The following is a brief outline of the duties of the Billing Research Specialist as envisioned by the management team:

• Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within narrow timeframes

• Meet Service Level Agreement targets in the production of multiple reports and the completion of all assigned projects

• Research and determine appropriate medical payments using SmartAdvisor and CARE

• Collaborate with multiple team members, participate in meeting settings, and provide solutions to challenges incurred in

multiple roles

• Provide clear and concise communication of research and findings to management as needed

• Respond to queries from Claims staff as needed

Additionally, the successful candidates would preferably have a minimum of two years of experience within the last five years in the performance of Workers' Compensation Bill Review duties and analysis.
